Employee
motivation and organization goals
Employee motivation is one of the
main facts which is related to Human resource and also to the organization
goals. Employees can be motivated in several ways. It defined as the level of
energy, commitment, persistence and creativity that a company’s workers bring to
their jobs. Employees can be motivated in several ways.
Maslow (1943) and Hertzberg
(1959) believe that money is only an effective incentive factor to some extent.
One employee’s low-level needs are satisfied, they will be motivated by
non-monetary factors, such as job satisfaction which cannot be purchased with
money from the outside but can only be provided by the company.
Therefore motivation has become
one of the top priorities for most businesses to achieve their goals.
Organizations use different
strategies to achieve their goals in the high competition environment. HR is
the main assets to the organization and if that main asset can lead with
satisfaction, they can fulfil their goals as well.

As author described motivation is key to an organization's success. Since there are mainly two type of motivation such as intrinsic and extrinsic if author could discussed more on that would be much better.
ReplyDeleteAlso if author could described little more about Maslow and Hertzberg theory, I feel that it would be much better.
Motivation represents “those psychological process that cause the arousal, direction, and persistence of voluntary actions that are goal oriented (Mitchell, 1982, p.81).
The author has clearly explained about the topic of motivation. Motivation is one of the most important factors determining organizational efficiency. It is very much clear that efficiency and effectiveness of organizational work is heavily determined by the degree of motivation of employees.
ReplyDeleteThe author had explained the theoretical part of the worker motivation, but this article lack in national and international context where theories applies practically.
